7 Crushed To Death As Petrol Tanker, Trailers Crash In Onitsha (PHOTO)

Seven persons were crushed to death at the Upper Iweka axis in the commercial city of Onitsha when a petrol tanker, a truck belonging to Dangote Group and another carrying 40 feet container crashed in the city.
Saturday Sun gathered that the first tanker lorry with registration number, XG 613 AKR had failed brake opposite the Toronto hospital along Onitsha-Asaba Expressway, crushing people especially motorists along the ever busy Upper Iweka area.

An attempt by a 27 years old apprentice, Elijah Chiama to make peace, in a case involving two of his relations ended in tragedy when he met his untimely death in the hands of a killer gang.

The incident occurred in Ukpata community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, on May 15 when Chiama accompanied his cousin Ebuka Eze to a neigbouring village, Umunakwe Village  in the same community to resolve a misunderstanding which was already taking a violent dimension.
According to a source which spoke with LEADERSHIP, trouble started when his cousin, Ebuka, had a little misunderstanding with one Miss Chinasa Okeke, also one of his extended family members.

SHOCKING PHOTOS: Several Dead, Dozens Injured In Ghastly train Crash

At least seven people were dead and dozens injured on Friday after a speeding train split in two and derailed at a station in the southern suburbs of Paris, officials said.
Interior Minister Manuel Valls gave the initial toll of seven dead and said there also were “dozens of injured” following the accident at the Bretigny-sur-Orge station involving a train heading from Paris to the west-central city of Limoges.
The minister said that information on the number of dead and wounded was “constantly evolving” and that several train carriages were lying on their sides.
