Kanye West gets booed on stage after he launches into '20-min rant'

Kanye West's self-entitlement continued on Friday night after he launched into a 20-minute rant mid performance at the London Wireless Festival. Kanye paused his performance to talk to the crowd about discrimination in the fashion industry and his promise to marry Kim seven years ago.

"People be looking at me like I got a problem or something. Like I’m uncontrollable, that I do what I’m not supposed to do.’ Turning his attention to the media, Kanye said ‘They control everyone with rumours & lies. They steal you from you & sell you back to you.’

To the crowd, Kanye asked: ‘How many people here think they’re awesome and have had people say they’re not their whole lives? What have I ever done other than believe in myself?’

BRT, LAGBUS Withdraw Buses from Lagos Roads after Soldiers' Attack Yesterday

LAGBUS Asset Management Ltd., operators of BRT buses, have withdrawn its buses from Lagos roads following yesterday's attack by aggrieved soldiers.

Talking to the News Agency of Nigeria, Mr Abiodun Apata, a LAGBUS official, said the attack was unfortunate and that the luxury buses were withdrawn to avert further damage. Explaining what really happened, Apata said:

“By 10p.m. last night (2 nights ago), one of our buses broke down at Onipanu; by 11p.m., a rescue team with a van went to the scene to tow the bus. Unfortunately, `area boys’ started stoning our team which made our men to leave. Meanwhile, the driver put on hazard lights and C- Caution to alert motorists of the breakdown. 

My Son’s Resignation From Govt Shocking - Oba Of Benin

The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Erediauwa, has dissociated himself from the reported resignation of his son and defection to the Peoples Democratic Party from the All Progressives Congress.
The Benin monarch made this known in a statement in Benin on Friday.

According to the statement, the Oba, who expressed shock that his son, Prince Osama Erediauwa, resigned his appointment as Executive Director in the Office of the Governor, said Erediauwa’s action did not represent his opinion as the Oba.

The statement read, “The Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba of Benin, has heard in the news media the news about his son, Prince Osama Erediauwa, who resigned his appointment with the Edo State Government and joined the Peoples Democratic Party, to pursue his political aspiration.

University Of Nigeria 'UNN' Dropout Made A Lecturer By Hong Kong University

In 2007, Onyeka was admitted into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, to study Anthropology, but he dropped out mid way. However, the 26 year old Nigerian writer and filmmaker has been appointed a visiting lecturer of African Studies at the School of Modern Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Arts, at the University of Hong Kong.

Welcoming him, head of department, Dr. Marketa Moore said:

"Mr. Nwelue, it would be a great honour to have you as a guest lecturer in our Africa foundation course at the Hong Kong University. In this course we have over 40 students (mainly from Hong Kong but also a number of international students). They are very enthusiastic in learning more about Africa and African literature. It would be an excellent opportunity for them to have a chance to meet you and learn about your work."
