Photos from Juliet Ibrahim's movie premiere in Lagos

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim premiered her debut flick as a producer, 'The Number One Fan' at Silverbird Galleria in Lagos on Friday July 4th. The movie is now in various cinemas across the country. It features Yemi Blaq, AY Comedian, KC Ejelonu, Kofi Adjorlolor, Prince David Osei, Juliet Ibrahim and a host of others. Too much perhaps? Beyonce let it all hang out on the third leg of their 'On The Run' tour which held last night July 5th at Citizens Bank Park, in Philadelphia. While performing Partition, Beyonce wore leggings with the butt cut out. She wore a similar costume at their Cincinnati show last weekend.

Double misfortune has befallen Okorie Orie, a native of Ibenda Effium in Ohaokwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, whose son was killed by an unrepentant gang of robbers that had robbed him 10 years earlier.

A decade ago, 37-year-old Uchenna Okereke, led six other robbers to rob Okorie Orie, dispossessing him of millions of naira and successfully escaped.
But the victim was able to recall the face of Okereke and he correctly identified him to the police, who acted on the information and arrested him. During interrogation, he revealed the identity of the other six members of his gang.
They were all tried, convicted and slammed with 10-year jail term, which they served and were subsequently released. For the duration of the jail term, Okereke nursed a grudge, vowing to take vengeance against Orie.

Robert Onwuegbuchulam Ekeh

His mother named him Onwuegbuchulam, and that was the name he was known by everyone, until he became a young man and began to project his second name, Robert.

Robert Onwuegbuchulam Ekeh had been the only hope of her mother and sibling. Her mother’s prayer had been that God would raise a son that would give her a befitting burial when she dies and then take care of her younger children. And God had answered that prayer by raising Robert.

A day after he was ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup, Brazilian striker Neymar was flown to his home in Guaruya, Sao Paulo by medical helicopter to begin his recovery. Neymar was first flown to Brazil's training ground in Rio where he had a tearful re-union with his team-mates, he then waved to hundred of fans and media before taking off along with his father. The 22year old striker fractured a verterbra on Friday after Colombian player Juan Zuniga smashed his knee into his lower back. Speaking about the injury, a tearful Neymar said in a video

GOVERNOR NYAKO'S IMPEACHMENT: Commissioners Beaten Up By Governor's Supporters

The impeachment saga of Adamawa governor, Murtala Nyako took a different turn yesterday as there were reports that supporters of the Governor manhandled some state commissioners and other top government officials for allegedly working with the members of the House of Assembly to impeach the governor and his deputy, Mr James Ngilari.
It was reported on June 18 that Adamawa Assembly move to Impeach Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy is based on allegations of gross misconduct.
Some of those attacked included the Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Hamidu Lawan, his counterpart in the Ministry of Environmnt, Mrs Arziki Sawa as well as the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs Lucy Ishaku among other top government officials.
