Nollywood actress and model Precious Chikwendu popularly known as Snowwhite won the Miss United Nations in America contest a few days ago. The mission of the pageant which has its HQ in Miami, Florida, is to unite the world through beauty and reach out to the needy through charity.

Precious won the pageant while Mr India and Miss USA came second and third respectively. They were judged based on character, ability to carry people along, intelligence, catwalk, and personality. Congrats to her. Continue to see more photos...

The news broke, just like a thunderbolt. Mrs. Rosemary Chukwu, a mother of four, residing at 33, Omolegede street, a suburb of Ikorodu area in Lagos State, abducted a 7yrs old primary School pupil, Emmanuel Emeka, and was about taking him to a den when it was foiled.

Shockingly, the suspect revealed to the bewildered crowd that gathered after she was caught that her pastor is the one who asked her to bring the boy. She mentioned the General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy in the same Ikorodu, as her pastor.

The pastor, Ernest Chukwuemeka Nwankwo, 49, was said to be on the run and was later apprehended by the police and and handed over to the State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti, Lagos for interrogation. Crime Guard was able to corner the embattled Pastor as he was leaving the confines of police cell at Panti and he gave his own account of the ugly incident. See excerpts below...

Mario Balotelli got himself in the news again after posting, and then deleting, this photo of himself pointing a shotgun at his haters on Instagram.

The photo, which was probably removed for glorifying guns and making shooting people seem trivial, angered Balotelli's employers AC Milan but vice president Adriano Galliani admits the club is powerless to stop players using social networks.
Galliani said:

'I have my own ideas about social networks and I've tried many times but our lawyer has always stopped me, saying that it would violate individual rights. In contracts it's written
what players can and cannot do, but we can't do anything regarding their private lives. We do it vocally but that's not enough.'

Photo: Police parades suspected kidnappers of GEJ's uncle

The Department of State Security today July 10th paraded 6 men who allegedly kidnapped the 70year old uncle of President Jonathan, Nitabai Inengite, in Bayelsa state on Feb 23rd.

Okiotor Dafiaghor (a.k.a. Dafphee), the ex-pianist at Rev. Chris Okotie's Household of God Church who took the man of God to court over unpaid earnings, speaks to Sahara TV about his time at the church. Dafiaghor claims Rev Okotie had a lavish relationship with Ms. Roli (Chief Bode George's wife and new NDLEA's Director) which made him finally quit the church.

"About a certain lady, Roli Adeniyi, that came up in the newspapers and said that she used to go out with Rev Chris Okotie. I know that this is true because I used to see things. We used to make excuses for him...like he's not really doing anything with them. You see a lady at 3am in his house and probably they are just doing prayer meeting and he's too man of God for that." He said

Photos: Police rescue 9 year old girl from her abductors

The Lagos state Police Command today July 10th presented 9 year old Blessing (pictured above) who they rescued from being sold by a three female child trafficking syndicate in Lagos.

Lagos state Police Commissioner Umaru Abubakar Manko while presenting the little girl to newsmen at the Ikeja Headquarters of the command said she was abducted from her parents about 3 years ago and has been sold to different people where she has served as a maid. Continue to see more photos...
