Son of American Ebola patient says she's 'smiling, even joking’

The American woman who was infected with the Ebola virus while working with a Christian aid group in Liberia is getting better and is even smiling, her son said today.

Speaking with NBC's Today Show, Jeremy Writebol said his mother, Nancy Writebol, 60, who was evacuated from Monrovia last week and was wheeled on a stretcher into a special isolation unit at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, has gotten physically better.

So Sad! Doctor Narrated How Lagos Nursing Mother Contracted Ebola virus

A medical doctor has described how a nursing mother who is one of the confirmed cases of the Ebola virus in Lagos contracted the disease while attending her antenatal care at First Consultant Hospital in Obalende, Lagos where the first victim of Ebola virus in Nigeria, Patrick Sawyerr, died. The lady was confirmed to have the deadly disease after testing positive at the NNPC staff clinic on Muri Okunola street in the Victoria Island area of Lagos.

Speaking anonymously with Punch, the doctor said;

Three brothers aged 15, 12 and 10 disappear after bike ride together

Three brothers Remus, 15, Janko, 12 and David Matlock 10 have been declared missing after they took a bike ride together and failed to return to their home in Sunderland UK last night August 11th.

According to Northumbria police, the brothers went to the Mowbray Park near their home around 5.20pm yesterday and were due home around 8pm but didn't make it home and have not been answering their mobile phones.

The Ebonyi state police command has arrested 28 year old Sunday Nwali for allegedly killing a pupil miss Chioma Ezekwele of Kingdom Secondary School in Ikweator Idembia in Ezza South Local Government of Ebonyi state after she refused his sexual advances.

 

Parading the suspect before newsmen at the state police command in Abakaliki the state capital, the state Police Commissioner, Mr Maigari Dikko said Nwali aka Machine in company of his friends named Chukwuma Eloma and Friday Ebenyi had gone to the hostel of the school where they accosted late Chioma and her friend Sandra. He demanded sex from Chioma which she refused and in annoyance, he shot her dead. He then asked her friend Sandra to have sex with him and in fear, she agreed. UK Woman Births Triplets 9 Months After First Child Was Birthed

 Changing 175 nappies and making up 80 bottles of milk each week is no easy task But that’s just the start of new mother Sarah Ward’s to-do list.  She gave birth to four babies in the space of nine months – despite fearing that she would never conceive. 
Her son Freddie was nine months old when she had triplets, now aged 19 weeks, in March. All were conceived naturally.   Miss Ward had tried to conceive for more than a year and was due to see a GP for tests when she became pregnant with Freddie. So after he was born in June last year, the couple did not use birth control.  Miss Ward said: ‘We wanted to have at least two children. Because it had taken so long with Freddie, we assumed it would take the same time again, if not longer.’     In fact, Freddie was only eight weeks old when she learned she was expecting.  She said: ‘I started shaking. Man Brutally Beats Girlfriend up after He Dreamt She Cheated on Him

A 27 year old Florida Keys man is currently behind bars after he allegedly spent the whole of Friday beating his girlfriend up, all because he had a dream that she had cheated on him.

Carlos Gascon's girlfriend told cops that her boyfriend woke up that day already mad at her. He then went on to brutally assault her, beat and cut the back of her leg with a knife, poured hot coffee on her, choked her, threatening to kill the woman throughout that day at her home. At a point, Carlos picked her up and slammed her down on a glass table, which shattered on impact.
