AMAA May Lose Its Glory Due To Poor Organisation

It is no doubt that the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) is Africa's Oscars, but if urgent steps are not taken to check its 'dis-organised' nature, very soon, it would only be an affairs of Nigerians alone as foreigners would totally ignore the event.

The last event held in Bayelsa State few days ago was just too marred with some shortcomings ranging from poor travel arrangements, poor feeding, poor hotel reservations and others.

One of the most annoying things about the last event was that the organisers were quick to blame the government for their (AMAA) poor planning and 'dis-organised body'. The organisers were quick to say that problems experienced in the travel arrangements of guests were due to Nigeria being a developing country, which is expected to have such 'errors'.

But recall that the AfricaMagic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) was held in March in Nigeria and it turned out to be a wonderful experience to those who attended the show.

It is of note that if nothing is done to check the shortcomings experienced in the 2013 edition of the event, AMAA may end up losing its glory and struggle to gain regain its glory.
