A boy in California has sped far ahead of his peers as he has graduated from high school at the tender age of 10.
Tanishq Abraham, who was home schooled, graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA and wants to become a doctor.
The prodigious young man started taking university courses at age 7 and he plans to attend the University of California, Davis.
NY daily reports:
“It wasn’t, like, easy, but it was not that hard either,” he told KXTV.
When he was 4 years old, he became the youngest member of MENSA, a society for people with high IQs.
At the age of 7, he started taking college courses at American Rivers College while he worked on his high school degree.
Tanishq’s mom, Taji, always knew her son was special.
“I had a hunch he was a little gifted, but of course my husband didn’t believe that and we had to wait about two to three years,” she told the TV station said. “Once we got a formal IQ test, that’s when
we figured it out.”
Tanishq’s family said he scored well on the SAT and plans to continue his education. He said he hoped to attend medical school at the University of California, Davis, and he’d like to work on research to cure cancer.
He has big dreams for his post-college career, too.
“My ultimate goal would be science — like scientist or doctor — but also want to be President, too,” he said.
