Another American Doctor Contracts Ebola Virus

An American missionary doctor working in Liberia has reportedly tested positive for Ebola.
The unidentified doctor, who works with missionary group, SIM USA, is the third US aid worker to have contracted Ebola in Liberia, USA Today reports.
According to reports, the doctor had been treating pregnant women in Monrovia. Other missionary workers say he had not been treating any Ebola patients in the hospital’s isolation unit, and so it is unclear how he got infected.

The doctor is said to have isolated himself immediately he discovered he had Ebola symptoms.
He has now been transferred to the isolation unit and is reportedly “in good spirits.”
The other two Americans who also contracted Ebola in Liberia were Kent Brantly of Samaritan’s Purse, and Nancy Writebol of SIM USA. Both have been cured.
