I can never wear any cloth that exposes my boobs — Tolani Akande

Tolani Akande, a graduate of Accounting from Osun State Polytechnic, Esa-Oke, Osun State, is the Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Fashion House and Skin Care Clinic. In this interview with TAYO GESINDE,   the accountant-turned-professional skin therapist cum organic skin care manufacturer speaks on common skin problems and their  cure  and her fashion preferences. Excerpts:

Why I decided to go into skin care therapy
My passion for beautiful and flawless skin drove me into skin care business.  I had been having challenges about my skin since I was 12 years. I used to have dry, tight and at times, scaly skin. The skin of my legs was having surface wrinkles and lines like old people. It was so challenging and frustrating.  I vowed to get a permanent solution to it as soon as I could which I eventually did. Within a year that I started treatment, my skin was  healed and since that time, I have had flawless skin. And the most interesting thing was that I got the cure here in Nigeria, thanks to all the rich and natural skin care ingredients that God blessed us with. That was why I decided to go for skin care training after I overcame the problem. I trained here in Lagos and I
also attended workshops and training in South Africa and Scotland. I started my skin care business in 2010 and God has been so good to me.

I’d rather be miserable than be in a relationship… — Actress, Yvonne Okoro

Voluptuous beauty, half-Nigerian, half-Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Okoro, isn’t exactly the kind of damsel you would think is in distress. She has nothing on her to cut that image and it doesn’t appear her career is in danger either. If the beautifully endowed sexy actress should come under any observation, I guess the lots would be in her favour as she seems to be doing better than ever, career wise.

Yvonne-Okoro11But her post on the Instagram last week placed a huge question mark on the state of mind of the actress. The declaration “ I would rather be lonely and miserable than be in a relationship” wouldn’t pass for any woman who is fulfilled as a woman, even though the career is on the up and up.

It wasn’t until further checks were run on what could have brought about that rather gloomy assertion that the whole scenario began to make sense. It turned out Yvonne’s post was an extract from a

Sunday, 13 April 2014 Do you Believe in Reincarnation?

Here's a question by Austin (not Austin Uche):
If reincarnation is true, then our lives don't really end with our physical deaths -- some "essence" of us as individual persons survives into another form and life. Right in my own home, my grandmother believes my elder brother is her husband reincarnated. My parents, uncles, aunties believe it. But truly, is there any evidence or any good reason to believe that reincarnation is real?
Personally, I don't believe in reincarnation, even though some bible verses seem to support the concept. Read Matt 17:12. I believe who we are as individual persons is dependent upon our memories and our personalities. If one or both were irrevocably altered, then the original person just wouldn't be there

Facebook marriages may not last — Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Saturday said marriages contracted through social media may not last.
He said, “If you marry the modern way like on Facebook, you may likely divorce the modern way. Marry traditionally and involve God.”
Adeboye gave the warning in a sermon he preached on at the wedding of President Goodluck Jonathan’s foster daughter, Faith, and her husband, Godswill, in Abuja.
Adeboye also stated that the success or failure of any marriage rests on the husband who is the head and therefore advised the groom to ensure that the marriage succeeded.
He urged him not to criticise his wife but correct her in love.
The clergyman also urged mothers-in-law to avoid interfering in the life of the new couple.
Meanwhile, the wedding reunited the President with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and
