Rumors have been circulating regarding a possible wedding of Janet Jackson to Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana. The couple put the rumors to rest today, announcing that they are actually already married.
The two said there are no plans for an extravagant wedding, seeing as they wed last year with a small, private ceremony. The husband and wife said in a brief statement, “The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.”
They continued, “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities.” Finally, they asked the media to respect their privacy as they begin their life together, “We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet.”
This is Janet Jackson’s third marriage, following a secret marriage (it seems to be her thing) with producer René Elizondo, Jr. in 1991.
